No. 4 Brightlands is an ideal base from which to explore the many treasures of Cornwall: nearby National Trust coast line with spectacular cliff walks, beautiful beaches with miles of golden sand, hidden coves, rolling countryside and charming towns and harbours (Not forgetting the cosy pubs full of local charm) and beach cafes for pasties, pints and cream teas.

If you don't feel like venturing away from Bude, happily there's plenty here for everyone. The 69 par links golf course, is one of the oldest town links courses in England. It is always in good condition and the greens will be a challenge for you all! You are always guaranteed a warm, friendly welcome. Other courses you may like to play are Trevose, St Enedoc, Bowood, Westwards Ho and Saunton.

For anyone coming to Bude simply to relax and possibly pamper, there are plenty of beauty salons, where a soothing massage could help ease you into the holiday mood. Why not let someone else cook for you for a change and try some of the local pubs, restaurants and hotels.

There are plenty of other local activaties such as surfing, horse riding and walking. There are also many attractions such as historic houses and beautiful gardens, castles, farms, museums, children's theme parks, the famous "Eden Project" and many more. There is no right or wrong time to visit Bude. It is full of life and fun during the summer time with highlights such as the jazz festival (end August) and equally appealing during the winter months, when a bracing walk on a wild beach can leave you refreshed and ready to warm up in a cosy pub!
